Ok there's a song from the 80's sounds almost like Newcleus but it's not. The only lyrics I can remember is a guy singing in a computerized voice: "You've got to stick it in, You've got to stick it in.. stick your headphones in.

Help?

I'll check that Funk thread and answer your question. Were there any other songs that you can think of that we have not mentioned yet from the Texas area? Don't get me started on the Dances we did back then. *LOL*

Yes, I remember Nemesis. They used to play them all of the time on a local radio station here KNON 89.9 FM. I haven't searched for any of their music, so I'm not sure if there is anything on the net. Have they tried contacting KNON?.

Russ Parr hadn't been here in a bit but when he was (back in the RJ's by the Lake) days we used to sit around the club and score on people. I think he is actually in the DC area where Get The Hook Up is filmed. But Bobby Jimmy was soooo funny. There used to be a televised dance show here about 12 years ago called 21 Texas Jamz where I did about 3 break to commercial spots. Michelle do you remember the show. It was the ghetto version of Soul Train when I saw old recorded versions of the show I was like man we did some corny stuff in front of the camera. LOL.

Hiya soulsis,

The only thing I know about Neck Work, is that a local DJ here in dallas took the credit for making the song. I don't know if he just produced the group that made the record or what but his name is U-shay. He was at K104 FM for a long time, not sure where he is now. As for Russ Par aka "Bobby Jimmy", I remember him, he was on K101.3FM here in Dallas for a few years. He had a local show on TV here in Dallas for a while. Now he is on TVOne on cable with his radio partner Alfriedas. I have all of his Mp3's. I went to a Steve Harvey comedy show that he hosted a few years back.

No, I don't think we had that here, I don't remember it. But we did have another show.. looked like it was a local cable access show, but then again I think it was from Chicago or some place. Maybe around 82 or 83. I don't remember the name of it, but the host was a a big black dude and the dancers were all black ranging from teens to early 20's, ring any bells Ladybug?.

Yeah, but I only saw it a couple of times and can't remember the name either. Hey Michelle was Cedric the one with the tight pants that was always scooting on the floor (even had his chest hair cut in a design) and called himself Chocolate Stallion?.

I would like to see some old wolf man jack shows (talk about going way back)it is soo funny looking back at the style of dress and loving it back then and now look at it and say dam we wore that? but I loved the hip hop look of the late eighties and mid nineties.. even we women had our name brand handbags that matched the outfit whether it is loui or what ever was out and the big earings I just loved it. women and men had a hip look.
