I don't know about the album, but there's a guy in Ireland on gemm.com selling the single ('You Talk My Head Off', A&M, 1982). Hop to it!

Matter of fact, looks like they were 'Danceclass', just one word. You'll get more hits that way - including another single 'Setting Myself On Fire'. Cut and paste this link.

Danceclass had one of the best drummers from Newcastle Trevor Brewis.Been trying to track him down as he was an old mate of mine. Dave Wilson did lights for him and many others from Sunderland around early 80's and he died Last year. Anyone know who he is now with let me know..he keeps on drumming!!.

hi.was looking at your message about danceclass. well i am the singers nephew!!

They actually made another album after danceclass (1982) but they were then dropped by a&m. i have only one copy of the album...it is very difficult to get.

if you go to google and type in danceclass lp you may get people selling it.

they reformed for a short while in the late 80s.......but the the singer dave taggart, bassist tony mcananey and a new member marcus brown, keyboard formed live room ( i have just 1 copy of the album)the album was called momo. it never got released. the singles 'do it this way' and 'rolling stone' were released.

by the way the singles from the firts album 'danceclass' by danceclass were you talk my head off and setting myself on fire......both a&m.

any more info.let me know!!!!

Danceclass....what a band they were. I saw them as The Live Room at the Sea Hotel in South Shields and they were excellent...
My friend had a copy of a gig they played as Danceclass in South Shields also (wish still had that now) doing all the greats like Up the Congo, Dave with the flute he never seemed to play if I remember correctly also cracking versions of PaperBack Writer and a few Stones numbers if my memory is good...

The whole band were top musicians and one of the main reasonsd I got into music.... Tony's bass playing inspired me to take up the instrument, Dave's voice got me into singing....Alistar was great guitarist and what can you say about Trevor on drums....Genius such a talented player....

Remastered versions of the albums on CD would be a lovely Xmas Box don't you think....
