Check out the band "The Ocean Blue" out of Pennsylvania...in the early 90's they were on Sire Records. Their latest effort (Davy Jones' Locker) was released in 1999 on their own label and then in 2001 on March Records. Pick up any of their releases...you'll be glad you did..

Try these: Primal Scream "Loaded" Soup Dragons "I'm Free" Iggy Pop "Candy" Ride "Twisterella" Replacements "Merry Go Round" BTW I Love Ocean blue-- Between something and nothing is one of the best songs ever!.

The greatest "Alternative" bands of the late 80's & early 90's (in my opinion and in no particular order) are: The Pixies, The Replacements, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Sloan, Sonic Youth, The Happy Mondays, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Stone Roses,and the gretaest band of all time - The Reverend Horton Heat. Not to mention the obvious - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc.....

Here's a coupla others I thought of : Cannonball, the breeders Kingdom of Rain, The The Mayor of Simpleton, XTC If you're willing to go back to the 80's, listen to: Kundalini Express, Love and Rockets Desire, Gene loves Jezebel Anything, Dramarama.
