Hi Ray, Careful big guy! Look more closely at the words. ELO's Telephone line was: "hello, how are you? have you been alright, through all those lonely lonely lonely lonely nights?..that's what I'd say, I'd tell you everything, if you'd pick up that telephone" .

I realise that the CORRECT SONG was The Moir Sisters, I was merely putting the mind at rest of someone who had referred to an ELO song earlier in the enquiry.

Hi Ray, Sorry about that chief...
I need new glasses. ELO is one of my favorites from the 70's! Are they doing anything lately?

The song, or part of it, was used as a jingle by Colin Berry on BBC Radio 2 when he hosted the early morning show during the mid-70s. On his last show he played the song in full - it's a terrific little number.

I searched for a copy for years. About 20 years ago I wrote to the Chief Executive at EMI for a copy, and they had one sent over from Australia. I've still got it as pride of my collection would wouldn't mind getting a version on CD. Does anyone know if one's available?

If you haven't already found a copy on cd, let me know and I'll chase up the greatest hits albums that have a copy of the moir sisters song for you. Cheers.
Did you know it was the famous Ivan hutchinson who discovered the moir sisters and produced their first album, lost beyond harmony.

This one often crops up on Aussie 70s compilation CDs. Here's a couple...

Track 16 on this disc…

or if you’re cashed up, it’s track 75 on this 5-disc set!

(incidentally you can often find 'Seventies Complete' in Aussie bargain bins at a quarter the price they’re charging here)

and if you want to see the Moir Sisters then and now, check out this YouTube clip from the recent ABC documentary 'Love Is In The Air'. The first 2 minutes 40 seconds are about Debbie Byrne, but then you'll see a piece of 'Good Morning' plus the Moirs talking about their sharpie haircuts!

hey ya Jaqui g'day.
one of my favorite songs, brings back memories of a first love, which unfortunately she never new i had for her as we were only very good friends.
The Moir Sisters sang it, They were a Melbourne group.
1975 pretty sure.and yeh, what lovely harmonies they had.
I have been looking for that particular song for many years.
look up Moir Sisters on google and you will find leads to the 45's and albums it was on.
GOOD LUCK !!

'Good Morning How Are You' was a hit in 1974. The follow-up 'Harmony Blues' was released in 1975: one of the first acts to appear on 'Countdown' in colour that year! Never mind Google, Lozza. Just read some of the earlier posts on this thread..
