That is Tom Browne with Siedah Garrett on Lead vocals. From 1984 I think it was a track on the Beat Street or Breakin soundtrack.

there was a group called "juicy" that had that mtume,tawatha agee vibe. their best known release was a tune called "sugarfree" another all girl group was Madame x but they reminded me most of Klymaxx. .
