Is it beyond the intelligence of those compiling this site to count past one? Or to do some research? Mungo Jerry had a lot more than one hit; "Lady Rose" and "Alright, Alright, Alright" spring immediately to mind. I think you might find that "Baby Jump" was also a number one hit. .

Sadly all of the songs you mention ('Baby Jump' included) did diddly on the Billboard's American Top 40, which, rightly or wrongly, is the basis for the One Hit Wonder listings..

Ok, now Mungo Jerry's In the Summertime was out when I was just a wee laddie wearing my school short pants! So therein lies the appeal. for me anyway, of this song. Another classic one from the classic times. Wonder where he is now?

Mungo outstripped the Grateful dead being the only band asked back to play the Hollywood bowl ( Leicestershire ) pop festival in 1970 they also did a very good version reggae style of Knocking on heavens door in the 80's.
