Man, "Blister in the Sun" is from 1983; it's not even
alt rock.
"Girl You'll be a Woman Soon" is a Neil Diamond
song..

Silverchair "abuse me"
The Stone Roses " I wanna be adored" (may be 89)
Pixies "Gouge Away"
Belly "Feed the trees"
Smashing Pumpkins "Spaceboy, or Disarm"

Anyone know a song that during the verse
it says real slowly "theres a
reasooooon..." and then i believe it
follows with "it's in my head. tis the
seasoooon..." i think its real obscure and
may not even been a hit but it was played
all the time on the edge here in dallas.

"The Freshman" by The Verve
"Not An Addict" by K's Choice
"Slide" by Goo Goo Dolls
"Plush" by Stone Temple Pilots

All these bands are terrific and these are some of my favorites songs.

Zach in case you are still wondering what the
name of the song they were playing before prom
it was by Duke Daniels "Following a Star". Damn
it took 4 years to be answered, and the only
reason why I answer was because I didn't know
the name of the song. To anyone that doesn't
know the name of a song, try to remember some
of lyrics then type that into google for results.
Also try Amazon.com; usually people review in
that site Complaining about how the movie
soundtrack didn't have all the songs they wanted,
others will put listing of all the songs that were in
the movie. Or you can be like me and get a 3g
smartphone that has apps that listen to the song
being played, and then gives you the name.
Anyways hope this helps.
