I heard a song yesterday on the XM station "Lucy" which I liked and now I can't remember it. The name of the band was something like "the waylays" and the name of the song had the word "simple" in it. It's a mid-tempo song. That's all I got, can anyone help ?.

Brad I remember that song from the 90's. I just found the lyrics to it and got the band and the songs name.

It's Patti Smith and the song is called Because The Night

Can someone help me figure out who does these songs, please!

I found an old box of radio tapes I made when I was younger - gave them a listen - they were made around 1995.

One song is kinda bubble gum happy the chorus goes, "you could get a smile out of a dollar bill, nothing about you is run of the mill, I'd rather stare at you , than stare at my tv, will you ever come back to me...."

the other is a little less happy and some of the words are, "I want a house, with a big old driveway, how bout a pool and a limousine, cause being with you, is kinda like having success (?), except for the good parts...."

This is a fixation now, please help!

I've read every single post. Every single list. Took me over two days. There were some really great songs mentioned. Some I remembered and already had, some I'd forgotten and am excited to now have back. And there is ONE song that was a TOTAL one-hit wonder that not ONE person mentioned in 44 pages...

Anyone remember "Suddenly" by the Bogmen? A totally great, totally hilarious song!!...

"There goes some guy walkin' down the street!! Wearin my tie-iiiiiiiiii..."
Download it. And by the way, the Weezer songs mentioned were great, but my personal fav was "El Scorcho"...

Time ticking on you, wearing you down, then later in the song: you want me down, want me dead, want me around

Just want to clear up that the song by Local H is called "Bound For The Floor" alot of people think the song is called Copesetic because of the lyrics. They also had a song called Hi-Fivin MF, All the kids are right, Eddie Vedder, some of the lyrics to Eddie Vedder is, i understand but i don't wanna be your friend i don't need another friend, got too many friends, if I was Eddie Vedder would you like me any better, that's it i quit i don't give a shit, you go ahead as good as dead, you go ahead as good as dead
