janine,
don't know if you check back on here anymore, but I think I know the song you were trying to find.
The
person, voice, and video you described sound like Hayden-Bad as They Seem. One of my all time favorites (even named my son Hayden!!)
It came out in 1996 and the first verse goes like
this:
Girl of my dreams Things are as bad as they seem She is only 16 That's why she's only a
dream Woman of my dreams lives right down the street has a daughter who's 16 that's why she's only a
dream.
I hope this is the song you were looking for. If not check him out. Awesome singer. Haunting voice. Other good songs are Skates, and Stem..

Theres a one hit wonder band i just heard get played on a online alternative rock station. They were out in 1997 and then broke up shortly after. Anyone remember the band "Summercamp" The hit song was called "Drawer" At the time that song was a big hit on the alternative charts and then quickly became
forgotten.
Song starts out by sayin "It's just a drawer away, one more floor away, whos at your door today"
chorus You don't care who lies to you, finally found something to do" "Don't it make your black eyes blue".

I'm in desperate need of help with little information to provide. I'm trying to find out a song by some 90's alternative singer. It's a guy I'm not sure if he is in a band, and for some reason I think its Matthew Sweet, but I still can't find the song. The guy talks about "almost hurting or hitting or slapping the girl or one he
loves" its something along those lines. It is kind of a slow song, but a lot of rock stations use to play it. Can anyone help????? I do not think its Morissey either. .

Trying to find a song that was on a car commercial. The commercial consisted of a guy driving in his car with the intention of breaking up a wedding (I remember him being stopped by a train and screaming). The song has a bell sound in the back of it. Anyone have an idea?.

I dunno if this thread's still alive...but does anyone remember a song that came out sometime around 95 or 96. The lyrics were something like "every girl wants to know" and the chorus was a repeated "I get...hiiiggh iiigggh iiggh".(no it's not a rap song!) Somehow I think the word "Undertow" was part of the band's name (not TOOL
either)
The other song also came out sometime in 95 or 96...I don't have any lyrics memorized, but the song sounded very Spanish, with acoustic guitars chording (I believe) a Cm, G#maj, A#maj progression. The singing would drone a bit high-pitched going into the chorus, and the main verse
was sung by one guy, and after every line the whole band would come in with something sounding like "I heat up" or "I need her" or something like that. Finally, near the end of the song, the singer goes off on a melodic vocal. I actually heard this song again recently at Home Depot a few weeks back but with all the background noise I couldn't make out any lyrics...I loved these two songs but I
can't figure out who in the world sung them. HELP!.
