just a few aussie bands and some others that have had some hits in the 90s screaming jets-better, bodyjar-not the same, grinspoon-more than you are AND just ace, anything by INXS, the living end-prisoner of society, 28 days-rip it up, millencolin-fox, rhubarb-exerciser,
spiderbait-buy me a pony AND calypso, dave dobbyn-slice of heaven, jebediah-teflon AND leaving home all of these are awesome songs, and although mainly originating from the late 90's, these are the songs that made a lot of the above bands famous these were their breakthrough hits,
and none will disappoint hope everyone enjoys them ps. anyone got some good bands from america that arent too commercialised that i might be able to look out for? greatly
appreciated cheers.

hey i'm trying to figure out the name of this song and artist. at first i thought i heard it on the basket ball diaries soundtrack but i begining to think that they played the sound on the commercials for the movie when it came out. some lines go like "soon your little boys gonna be a man woah woah" etc. and i think the chorus is
something close to "you enjoy the convienence of my solitude" or something. that doesnt make sence but it sounds close. whats the song called?.

THis is great, thank you everybody for reminding me of 'our' music. I grew up with this stuff, and failed to hold onto so much of it because I was young. What is the crap they're playing on the radio these days? What
happened?
Does anybody know of a song that has the lyrics "I'm the one, I'm the one, we can make it...".

Awesome thread - I had forgotten about more than a few of these bands.
A few nice ones that haven't been mentioned yet (I think): Yeah whatever by Splender, Anything by Third Eye Blind (as well as everything else by
them), One Headlight by The Wallflowers... probably lots of others I'm forgetting....
Also, Collective Soul is probably the best "Christian Rock" band ever - w00t!.

wow I love this topic..
and I need help on a sort of alternative song from the 90's...
All I can
remember is the line "I could never be with a girl like you" in a sort of distant fuzzy voice. And I believe there was some violin playing in the background. I think it was from around 1996.
I know that's pretty vauge but any help would rock!.
