joined vocalist Peter Coyne and bassist Chris Coyne.
The Godfathers drew upon the force and rage of punk music. Their debut album entitled Hit by Hit was released in the United States on the indie label Link in 1986. Birth, School,
Work, Death followed on Epic in 1988. It made the Top 100 bestsellers, and was played on album rock radio.
The Godfathers' third album, More Songs About Love and Hate, included the popular college radio track "She Gives Me Love." In 1991, the band released a fourth album, Unreal
World.
