Byron MacGregor Biography
MacGregor was a legendary in broadcast newsrooms in both Canada and the United States. He is best known for his no-nonsense patriotic style.


In 1974, he recorded "The Americans", a tribute written and originally broadcast by Gordon Sinclair, with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. It did well in the popular music charts in 1974 as well as in 1991. MacGregor donated what money he made from the recording to the American Red Cross. Byron MacGregor died at the young age of 46 in 1995 from pneumonia related complications.
