Formed in the early 1980's by guitarist Steve Lynch, vocalist/guitarist Steve Plunkett,
bassist Randy Rand, drummer Keni Richards, and keyboard player Steven Isham, Autograph appeared to have little in the way of limitations. But Autograph got lost in the pop metal scene in Los Angeles,
in spite of the band's hit first single entitled "Turn Up the Radio."
The next year, the band experienced difficulty maintaining the success of yesteryear, with the release of the album This Is the Stuff. The
band's follow-up album, Loud and Clear, showed improvement in 1987. The band broke up soon thereafter,
nonetheless.
A decade later, a collection of out-takes called Missing Pieces was released.
