Biography
Axel F stands for Axel Foley. The song “Axel F” was written as a theme for the movie Beverly Hills Cop, appearing whenever the lead character, Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy), moves into action.

Harold Faltermeyer also worked closely with Giorgio Moroder, and has written film scores for Running Man and Starlight Express.

Axel F was the number one hit in 1985, following the success of the movie.
