The Buggles Biography
After meeting in 1977 as session musicians, Trevor Horn (vocals, bass) and Geoff Downes (keyboard) formed the Buggles, an electro pop duo.

The Buggles' first single "Video Killed the Radio Star" soared to number one in the U.K. in 1979. Ironically, the video for the single was the first to appear on MTV, a cable network that had just been launched.
The Buggles had three more hits, with "The Plastic Age," "Clean Clean," and "Elstree."

Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes, nonetheless, decided to leave performing, departing for production-type work.
