Biography
Four students at the University of North Texas formed Deep Blue Something. Members of the band included Todd Pipes (vocals/bass), Kirk Tatom (guitar), Toby Pipes (vocals/bass), and John Kirtland (drums).

Upon graduation from the University of North Texas, members of the band performed throughout the Southwest. In 1994, the band released its debut album entitled Home on the RainMaker label. Interscope signed Deep Blue Something, releasing a version of the album in June 1995.

The single "Breakfast at Tiffany's" followed, and took off as a pop single. By the end of 1995, the song reached the Top Ten.
