Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham who was the drummer in Led Zeppelin until his death in 1980, founded the heavy metal band Bonham.
In 1987, Jason Bonham played with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. At a Led Zeppelin reunion in celebration of Atlantic Records 40th anniversary in 1988, Bonham backed page along with Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and
bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones.
Bonham formed the band, Bonham, with Ian Hatton (guitar), John Smithson (keyboards/bass) and Daniel MacMaster (vocals). Bonham's debut album, Disregard of Timekeeping, was a gold seller, and included the hit "Wait for
You."
