Billy Swan Biography
Billy Swan landed a hit in the early 1960's
with "Lover Please." He spent the rest of the decade as a roadie, engineer's assistant and songwriter, composing material for Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings and Mel
Tillis. Then, came Swan's rockabilly hit "I Can Help," whose organ and 1950's rockabilly arrangement served as the anchor for one of the biggest singles of the mid-1970's.

As a solo act, Swan recorded a handful of
albums. Although critics received them well, Swan never reached the Top 40 again. He returned to Krisofferson's band, where he stayed until 1992.
