Jim Steinman is best known for his collaborations with Meat Loaf. Steinman's operatic vision catapulted him to the top of the
charts. Steinman arrived on the scene with the off-Broadway musical entitled More Than You Deserve, whose cast featured Meat Loaf.
A few years later, Jim Steinman and Meatloaf toured together with the National Lampoon Road Show. Steinman then composed a musical update of the Peter Pan story entitled
Never Land.
In 1978, a number of the songs that he wrote were assimilated into Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell, which gave rise to three songs that fared well - more specifically, "Two
Out of Three Ain't Bad," "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" and "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth."
