In 1986, the Blow Monkeys broke through with the U.K. and U.S. Top 40 hit "Digging Your Scene." Between 1986 and 1990, the band went on to
place ten singles and four albums in the U.K. charts.
Members of the Blow Monkeys included: Dr. Robert, born Bruce Robert Howard (singer/guitarist); Tony Kily (drums); Mick Anger (bass); and Neville Henry
(saxophone).
The Blow Monkeys are probably best known in the United States for "You Don't Own Me," a track that appeared on the multi-platinum soundtrack album Dirty Dancing in 1987.
